Various smaller companies perform their civil construction activities under the auspices of Ruvil Construction Management. We are a well-established and highly experienced company based in Gauteng, South Africa. Our services, though, are not limited to Gauteng, but available country-wide.

Civil Services we provide
Through the companies under our management we undertake civil construction projects such as earthworks, road construction and drainage. These companies have the expertise, knowledgeable, skilled and experienced teams of workers as well as the necessary heavy equipment to prepare any construction site for new infrastructure. We start with clearing the building site removing trees, bushes, rocks, old structures, etc. and removing all the rubbish from the site. Once the site is clear, our excavators move in to proceed with the building site excavations needed for the new infrastructure.
Bulk earthworks involve the removal, addition or moving of large quantities of rock and soil from one place to another. We do this to prepare the construction site, bringing it to the proper level and height for the project to begin. This also includes bulk excavation or construction of earth embankments, backfilling and carting away unsuitable material.
Bulk earthworks are needed for creating run-off drainage control, drains, roads, building foundations, etc. and carry a significant initial capital cost.
There are various types of surface beds which need careful preparation such as pavements, parking areas, sport fields, road surfaces, floor foundations, weighbridge foundations, etc.
Surface bed preparation includes processes such as clearing the surface, filling or excavating as well as levelling to prepare the bed for concrete. Also compacting the soil using various possible compaction equipment such as compactors, vertical rammers, roller vibratory plates and more. Lastly follows smoothing and grading of the surface bed.
Our well-prepared flat surfaces which are evenly compacted will offer the proper support to the loads for which such surfaces are designed.
Main sewer lines are large pipes that transports waste from the sink, toilets, baths, showers, etc. from a house or building through branch drains that connect into it, forming a network of pipes running underground.
Management of sewer is a very important part of the infrastructure preparation our company provides. We do the trench excavations for the underground services and build the main lines for carrying the sewer and waste water from residential as well as commercial areas to keep our citizens safe and healthy.
The supply of water is crucial to life which means water supply infrastructure is extremely important to ensure effective water transport. Water is supplied by an underground network of huge pipes connected to smaller pipes though which water is carried to communities and individual dwellings.
Our expertise is in excavating and building these underground networks making sure they are not leaking and that clean water is provided to every home and building.
During a rainstorm, excess water from surfaces such as tarred roads and streets, car parks, parking lots, side walks, etc. need to be captured and carried to away to prevent flooding of such areas.
A properly designed network of pipes collects such water through surface inlets and carries it to a safe outlet like a river or a dam.
Our expertise lies is the provision of storm water pipes, drains and manholes for access to the underground areas for maintenance work.
Ruvil Construction Management has the necessary quality expertise as well as equipment and experienced teams to successfully deliver your road construction project. Building roads is very expensive and should be done properly from the start to avoid having to repeatedly perform expensive repairs.
We prepare the surface beds of areas to be paved. We do the filling and compacting to prepare the surface for concrete or other paving.

Structural Services we provide
The companies working under the wing of Ruvil Construction Management are mostly doing the groundwork upon which the infrastructure is built. Our companies have all these enormous heavy machines with their experienced operators which are needed for the bulk earthworks. We expertly prepare the sites before we proceed with our role in completing certain structures such as retaining walls, concrete channels as well as raft foundations and more. With our expertise, heavy machines and people that know how to operate them behind us, we confidently invite you to contact us to assist you with your project.
A weighbridge is a platform with a mechanism for weighing vehicles that is level with the roadway. For the installation of a weighbridge special provision should be made for the foundations. Such bridges can be installed anywhere vehicles need to be weighed, e.g. trucks carrying loads of wheat.
To detect theft of some of the load, farmers weigh loaded trucks before they leave the farm. At their destination they weigh the trucks again to ensure all of the load has in fact reached the silo.
We handle all civil works, earthworks and concrete works around weighbridges.
Retaining walls are used to keep soil in place where a cut was made in the soil such as in the case of a basement wall. We prepare the ground and build enormous retaining walls along roads and highways thus building safe infrastructure for vehicles to travel on.
We build concrete lined flood control and drainage channels along roads and streets as well as anywhere channelling will solve flood problems. This involves excavation work, clearing of vegetation, filling, re-profiling the channel as well as lining the channel using reinforced concrete.
Concrete floors are commonly installed in residential, commercial as well as industrial buildings. Before such concrete slabs can be laid, we prepare the sub base to be able to withstand the load of the concrete slab on the ground.
The preparation of the sub base involves filling in or removing soil, compacting and levelling the surface for the floor. This surface is layered with sand upon which the concrete is laid, tamped and levelled and allowed to set and harden.
We have the expertise as well as the equipment to prepare and lay concrete floors.
A raft foundation is a continuous slab of concrete as large as the building that rests on the ground and which supports the building and transfers its weight to the ground. Such foundations are mostly used in areas where the soil is unsuitable for a normal foundation such as in areas where dolomite or clay is present.
